Welcome to the Socio-Environmental Research Lab (SERL) website. Our goal is to explore human interactions and the natural environment. Peoples’ values, beliefs and behaviors are intertwined with our natural world and balancing multiple uses of our natural resources can be a challenge. In order to examine this phenomenon, we explore critical research questions about social, economic and demographic issues that affect land/water resources, stakeholders, and local communities.
Our research team works in conjunction with public land managing agencies, nonprofit groups, and other university faculty in providing new information to better understand how to use, manage, and sustain our natural environment. Explore our website, who we are, what we do, and learn more about SERL.
